Food manufacturing student, Katy Buckman will make her TV debut on Sunday night (29th Jan) in this year’s Young Baker of the Year competition.

The popular BBC Three show which searches for the best in young hardworking British talent, will stretch the four contestant’s skill and knowledge in pastry, bread making, cake decorating and theory.

Judging Katy and her three competitors are renowed cook and writer Gizzi Erskine and Gerhard Jenne, founder of Konditor and Cook, one of London’s most eye-catching chain of cake shops.

Neither Judge will be easy to please so Katy will have to prove she is worthy of the prestigious title by demonstrating her passion and skill.
